Free the Flag!
The Aboriginal Flag was designed by Harold Thomas in 1970. First flown on the 9th of July 1971 it represents the ongoing Aboriginal communities in Australia. The beauty of a single flag to unite all the first nations people is that no matter where you are from or where you have been there is a connection to country and there is representation.
Having a flag is crucial to recognising that Australia always was and alway will be Aboriginal land.
